Event Description
The Little Miss AKA Pageant is the culmination of a series of cultural, educational and fundraising events for young girls in the 4th and 5th grade. This AKA signature program promotes and cultivates in the young girls’ etiquette, elegance and poise. The service organization of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Xi Tau Omega Chapter, provides educational workshops for young girls from the Kansas City metro community. Their months of dedicated effort culminate in an elegant pageant held on Sunday, October 29, 2017. At the pageant, the participants will perform an opening routine, answer an extemporaneous question, showcase a talent, be presented to the community in pageant attire and receive awards and scholarships. - Encourage Fiscal responsibility
- Promote health awareness
- Explore college and scholarship opportunities
- Practice internet safety and self-awareness
- Help others during community service
